Hi, I’m Daniel Ventura. I’m a WBFF pro, level 3 advanced personal trainer, nutritionist and also the first ever British model to appear on the front cover of ‘Mens Health magazine’.
Since then I have appeared on the covers of every leading mens fitness magazine on the market. I started my career as a fashion model back in 1995 working for designers like Prada, Emporio Armani and Calvin Klein. Walking on the runways in Milan to shooting catalogues in Cape Town South Africa, my work took me all over the world. Then my career took a pivotal turn when I was asked to attend an open casting for the front cover of ‘Mens Health magazine’.
To my absolute delight after returning three times to be seen again, I got the job. Back then I have to admit I wasn’t an expert when it came to diet and nutrition, but the guys at ‘Mens Health’ were kind enough to design a bespoke training program and food plan a few months before the shoot, so i could get in the best shape possible. They even gave me a big box full of protein powder and supplements for free, which pleased me no end as you can imagine.
Back in December 2004 my cover appeared on the shelves in the news agents and I can safely say my life as well as my career changed direction from that moment on. I decided not to tell anyone but my close friends and family that I’d shot the front cover of ‘Mens Health’. So it wasn’t until the magazine came out that I realised what a big deal it was. People I knew would run up to me in the street and shout with excitement “Dan you’re on the front cover of Mens Health”! It was a great moment in my life.
Thanks to getting the cover I was offered more work as a fitness model and the jobs came in one after the other. A few years later I decided to really take the fitness industry seriously and studied to be a level 3 advanced personal trainer and nutritionist. It was after studying how the body works from an internal level that the penny dropped. Understanding the bodies energy systems, muscle groups and digestive system really helped me to develop the physique I really wanted. It is this same knowledge I have today that I’m willing to share with the world.
I get so much pleasure when someone who asks me for a diet and training program, transforms their physique and a lot of the times their life and confidence levels too. My mission is to help as many people on this earth as I can and help them improve their lives.
